Band Trip

When I left Tuesday, I was sad, I definately was going to miss my family. and I definately did, but the experience was definately worth the homesickness.
After a long bus ride of crappy food, movie after movie, and trying to sleep on hard seats when it's freezing, we finally got to our destination.
Orlando Florida.
I was happy to get away from our crappy seats (no blinds, I couldn't put my seat back because of the bathroom...the bathroom) and into new clothes. Unfortunately we had to practice for marching before we got a break to shower, but it wasn't so bad. I jumped into a hot shower, then into new clothes, and off to midevil times to get some good food.
I had a great time, our knight won, I got VIP seats, and the food was good (they skipped us for drink refills, but oh well), but when we got back to the room, I crashed. It was nice to be in a bed again.

Wake up. It's Thursday. The alarm was ringing. I pulled myself out of bed and jumped in the shower, got dressed, put on makeup and went downstairs with Summer and Liz for a buffet breakfast. It was super. Then we headed off to Magic Kingdom. This was a day full of shopping, an hot parade (where we did our trombone dance and stayed in the formation while the others were smart and got water) , a sweet roller coaster called Space Mountain, and magical fireworks show. Complete with fake snow. I loved it.
but once again. I loved the bed when I finally crawled in it. I slept well even though I missed my family a lot.

Once again, up, out of bed. Shower, Clothes and Makeup, breakfast, bus. This time, after a hot rehearsal, we were off to Epcot.
This was an amazing day. The best day yet.
We rode on Mission: Space, I finally got to land on mars. ^_^ It was an exhilarating flight simulator. Next, Test Track, a roller coaster like ride. I won't forget that semi. ;)
Finally, time for our fast passes to Soarin' a sweet ride with an omnimax like screen, dangling feet, and a the feeling of flight. It even had smells.
We took the monorail and park hopped to Magic Kingdom again to finish shopping, then got my face painted with lauren and katie while the other met the princesses. Finally we took a ride on a fun little roller coaster called the "barnstormer"
I can't forget kaitlyns unfortunate experience with a seagull and the excessive giggles when we broke the news that. "Kaitlyn got pooped on!"
We went back to epcot. This finished off our sweet day. Buying sweet glowing swords, calling Kaitlyn mom, and Katie reading the map upside down.
And my group knows what I mean when I say "He's FONDLING HIMSELF!"
and of course, Summer and I made it to third base...on accident...four times....

The fireworks show was amazing, one of our show songs started it off and summer and I pointed out all the lesbians as we made our way back to the bus.

Once again, very homesick, but I got to sleep.

Saturday already! We did our usual routine, and after breakfast (where we couldn't seem to remember where we were sitting or where we were going) we left for the Citrus Parade.
The guys teased me about my name for a while and Matt and I played our freeze game for a while.
The photo was terribly hot in our uniforms. Luckily, I got to relax a bit before the parade. Shawn and I talked while Jeff used his extra energy in obnoxious ways. "he forgot his meds"

The parade was twice as bad as the photo. The breeze was the only thing keeping us alive. A two mile route kills your arms and leaves you nice and sweaty. But summer heard someone say we were the best band out there and Mr. McCombs was told similiar things. It was pretty successful. We got to go back and shower and relax a little before we departed for Islands of Adventure.
There, right away we went on a small ride to warm up. It was like teacups but Xmen themed. Then, we waited in line for a scary roller coaster called "The Hulk" The line was very long, and it seemed like it was going to take forever, but we found entertainment by waving at some people above us, and talking amongst ourselves. (and of course pulling kaitlyns) When we heard there was technical difficulties and there would be a delay we were skeptical, but we stuck in it and we were one of the very few that stayed and waited for it to get fixed. It fixed in a little bit and we jumped very far up in line because of others leaving. Score! The ride was really intense and we had a lot of fun.
Then we went on the Jurassic Park water ride, with a scary dropping box, and an even more scary drop. This ride also had a technical difficulty.
Then we went on the Dueling dragons several times. Our feet dangling made it quite scary. Plus how it seemed like we were going to crash into the other coaster. Once again, our wait was prolonged because of technical difficulties. We felt as if we were cursed.
We raced back to the bus. We ran into pentico and we slowed down. We wouldn't be late after all.
That night a friend slammed me and I went to bed with hurt feelings, but I woke up and got over it. I wouldn't let her bring me down.

Sunday! Our last day in Orlandol. All day in MGM. I was so excited.First breakfast at Planet Hollywood. Mr. P did movie trivia, and the DJ picked five guys from us to form a boy band to sing Courtney happy birthday. Now, full of food, we took off for MGM.
We went on Rockin Roller Coaster right away, that was amazing. Then we fast passed the Tower of Terror, but gave it away so someone could come with us. So we went to Beauty and the Beast instead. Then got frozen lemonade and a pretzle. Then we went to the great movie ride. That was fun. The alien scared me, and then the tour guide who was a gangster scared us by smacking on the side of our cart. It was fun. Then, we waiting in line for the tower of terror. and I have never been so scared in my entire life. It was so scary. The picture summer bought, I'm squeezing onto my friends arms and my knuckles are white and I have a horrified look on my face. It was humerous. I actually cried a little bit. It was so fun though!
After that we went shopping a little. My friend bought her boyfriend silk boxers and we giggled about it forever. We then got ice-cream. That was yummy. Our friends who had tried to park hop couldn't get into the other park because it was already full. They are lucky they got back into MGM. They left to shop apart from us.
We then went on Stars Wars, which was another sweet flight simulator. After that we walked over to the rockin roller coaster to fast pass it and ran into Shawn and his friends. We (all 15 of us) got fast passes for the same time. We then went walking around again. Next time we got back to see if the rockin roller coaster had a decent wait, but since it didn't, we were going to try tower of terror again. On the way there, we ran into Matt, Nick, and Dan. They wanted to come along, but we needed to wait for Shawn and some other people to get out of another ride. So we waited a little, then we went to Tower of Terror. In the line Summer felt unsafe because Shawn said he wouldn't give her CPR if she passed out.
"Jerk!"
"I'm not serious, I'm never serious really"
All 15 of us included: My and Summers Group (Me, Summer, Katie M, Kaitlyn, Aemilia, Mollie and Katie H.) and Shawn and the group with him (Shawn, Dan, Matt, Nick, Josh, Jeff, Angel, Katelyn) Shawn made sure I got the spot with the extra bar so I wouldn't freak again. Haha.
Once again, I was horrified in the picture. Aemilia, Katie M, and Katie wore their ugly betty faces. It was a funny picture. We're giving it to Mr. P After that, I asked Shawn if I could tag along with Summer. Kaitlyn and Mollie wanted to come too. So we went with them. We went to some restaraunt thing with them and sat at tables and screwed around and took pictures, signed the photo, and just goofed around for a while. Then they went to go get hats and noise makers for us. The reason we went with the boys was to get away from the drama, but everyone ended up tagging along anyways. They said that we were being inconsiderate. Anyways, Then we went to the dance party until about 45 minutes until our fast passes started. As we were walking a few people asked "Will you please tell us where you are taking us?"(rudely) I replied. "To the ride." Shawn said "you don't have to come if you don't want to" Then they whined about not wanting to go, so Shawn repeated what he had just said. They continued and I also said they didn't need to come along. It was very awkward and rude, both parties. We weren't exactly nice about it.

They left, and then the original 15 of us sat against the wall and talked. Summer pulled out her sword and played with it. "Shink! Shink!"
Then, Shawn and I confused Summer talking about the line that was getting wrist bands. "They're standing in it for fun" "They want yellow wrist bands" Summer's face was priceless.
"We're just kidding"

In the rockin roller coaster, we got a kick out of the lady's response.

15.
15? *stares for a second* Hold on. *walks away to look at the lines laughing and walks back* Party of 15 *laughs & tells us where to go*

I tried to pose for the photo, but I failed. I got to scared. Kaitlyn decided to buy the photo, so we went outside and waited a little, but they were taking a while, so I said I'd go in to wait for them. Then Shawn said he'd come with me, so we went in and while we waited for Matt, Nick, Summer, Kaitlyn, Katie, and Aemilie, we looked at the photos of the others that just got off. They were funny. One had a group of Indian woman who had their head covering on, another had a young man with a mickey mouse hand on. (Shawn and I saw the kid with the hands when we got outside)

So when we got the photo, I had my eyes closed and I looked silly.
As we looked at them I said "I look pleasant"
Summer replied, "You look horrified!"
"PLEASANT!"
Shawn adds "She's pleasant"
Summer laughs "So Pleasant I can see your veins popping out of your neck"
"no, it's just strained"

While we were sitting again, the cleaner lady picked up a peice of trash right by Shawn and Summer noticed it was in three steps. So Shawn and I threw things out in the street to see if she'd come back. Shawn threw his noise maker into the street and a girl kicked it. I hollered at her "Hey! That's not very nice!" Shawn hollered. "That was for my amusement!"

We then went back to the dance party to dance until midnight. The countdown was sweet and I gave Shawn a midnight hug, and Summer a midnight kiss. The fireworks was amazing. I called mom and dad during the finale. I missed them a lot.
I was being stupid and hurt Summer's feelings because I stood next to Shawn. I felt super bad, but she isn't letting me forget it. She's good at guilt trips. I apologized.
She knows I love her best anyways.

Afterwards, we slowly made our way out of the insane crowds. We were going extremely slow and you had no room, we were shoulder to shoulder with everyone around you. It was disgusting. Everyone was touching you. We got a little lost but made it.
That was probably the best evening of the whole trip. I've been very nostalgic ever since i got home.

I packed when I got home, was very daydreamy, and was pretty much out as soon as I hit the bed. The next morning, Tuesday, we woke up at about 8 and left at 10. We drove all day. Sleep was good. The night was rough and cold again, but I got some sleep. After breakfast I was home in about two hours. I was very happy to see everyone again. I missed home.
but I never want to forget this week. It was the sweetest thing ever!
